La bibliografía sobre John Ford es casi inabarcable, dada la cantidad y la calidad de la obra del realizador norteamericano.

Por tal motivo, en esta ocasión, seguiremos un criterio distinto del que hasta ahora hemos tenido, a la hora de elaborar las bibliografías de los distintos cineastas que han aparecido en esta sección.

En la bibliografía que ha continuación sigue solamente figuran libros monográficamente consagrados al cineasta y a su obra, no apareciendo, como en otros casos, entrevistas, estudios, artículos y críticas en revistas especializadas, etc.

En cualquier caso el lector interesado en la obra de Ford puede consultar la excelente investigación de Bill Levy, que contiene exhaustivas filmografía y bibliografía, listado de premios, guiones, archivos, etc.:
